History
We have more than 70 years of experience in the business arena, starting in 1955, when Orient Pharma Scientific Office was established and then Sami & Co. was established in 1974. The corporation was established by the the late Dr. Mohamed Sami Ahmed Salem. Today, Orient Pharma and Sami & Co. remain under family control, managed by the family’s 2nd and 3rd generations.

- 1975: Establishment of Bebelac Scientific Office – (Transferred to Sami & Co.)

- 1989: Establishment of the The Egyptian Hellenic Co. for Food Industries S.A.E. (In business till date)
Infant formula milk timeline
1974 – 2010
Sole agents, importers and distributors of ‘Bebelac’ infant milk formula, from ‘Lyempf’, the Netherlands, since the beginning of activity of the company till the company was merged with ‘Nutricia’ in 1984, then with “Danone” in 2010.
2010 – 2022
Sole importers and distributors of ‘Bebelac’ products (Nutricia – part of Danone group)
Other activities
Other activities, including pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, chemicals, pesticides, nutrition products, and medical equipment were introduced at various points in time throughout the company’s lifespan.
